AerChannel Networks

AerChannel is a powerful software platform that allows you to create your own interactive display network. It is the first of its kind, allowing direct interaction between individual displays and viewers using SMS text messaging. It gives you total control over content, scheduling, and interactive promotions at all times, and enables robust, scalable administration of any number of screens.

Key Features

Scalable

The highly scalable nature of AerChannel allows your display network to expand from a single node (player) to 10,000+ nodes easily. The system architecture is designed to handle rapid network growth.

Display Agnostic

AerChannel supports all different types of displays (LCD, Plasma, LED, projection systems, etc.) and a full range of resolutions from below 800x600 to 1920x1440 or more. It is compatible with all aspect ratios such as 4:3, 16:9 or any combination of width and height. Portrait mode displays are also supported.

Any Content

Most types of content are natively supported, including all common video, audio and image formats. The system features total compatibility for Flash and HTML. AerChannel also comes with support for live audio/video streams, RSS (Really Simple Syndication), DVD playback and TV/video input.

Any Schedule

Scheduling of content can be done by time (start and stop) or by rules (e.g. if temperature goes above 80 degrees, show more ice cream ads) or by events (e.g. if AMBER Alert comes via SMS from a known security officer’s cell phone, activate the AMBER schedule) or by pricing rules such as highest timeslot bidder, etc. Aerva can create customized scheduling mechanisms for your business rules.

Any Group

You can group displays by certain characteristics so that content can be published to them accordingly (e.g. New York screens get New York’s weather but screens in other cities get their own relevant weather, in the same screen area and time slot). Schedules can be assigned to groups so that their associated content only gets transferred to the right nodes, saving valuable time and bandwidth.

Any User, Any Role

As the scale of the network grows, you can control access to it by assigning the right roles to the right people. Any number of users with differing roles can login to AerChannel, and each person will only being able to affect areas that he/she is authorized to affect (e.g. the system can accommodate advertisers, content creators, sales people, IT/NOC people, and managers all interacting with AerChannel simultaneously).

Any Layout

The screen layout can be segmented into any number of sub-windows. Multiple layers of sub-windows are also possible. Each sub-window can be tied to a separate schedule timeline or user group.

Server-Driven Functionality

AerChannel enables large display networks to be managed remotely and securely. With simple tools like a web browser, powerful NOC (Network Operations Center) features are at the operators' fingertips. In addition to changing content and editing schedules remotely, an important element of remote management is the ability to remotely turn displays ON/OFF and query the health of the player. The root node, which allows central control over all other nodes, is provided and maintained by Aerva.

Mobile Ready

AerChannel comes integrated with mobile interactivity using SMS and MMS connections to any carrier in North America and the world over. You can also choose from a large portfolio of mobile applications or create your own using the AerChannel and MoApp technologies.

Network-Friendly

Flexible connectivity options allow AerChannel to work with a variety of networks (broadband, dialup, WiFi, satellite, VSAT and more). The system is also firewall-friendly and can work with most existing LAN/WAN setups and security profiles.

Secure

As the size, value and importance of the network grows, a compromised system is a recipe for trouble and financial liability as well as a PR disaster. To make sure your entire network is as secure as possible, AerChannel is built using industrial-strength security technologies at the server and player levels.
