First-of-its-Kind Wireless Community-Based Social Networking Application

Pic2Screen playing at Fountain SquareCambridge, MA and Cincinnati, OH. December 19, 2007 – Aerva, Inc. and The Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC) today announced the launch of Pic2Screen, a digital signage application developed by Aerva, Inc. for use on the giant LED display located in Fountain Square area of Cincinnati, Ohio. The Pic2Screen application is the first of its kind that allows 3CDC "street teams” to take pictures using a camera phone and have the pictures displayed on the giant screen in seconds.

In 2006, 3CDC picked Aerva, Inc.'s digital signage technology to drive the 42 x 28 feet outdoor LED display at Fountain Square, a critical element of $42 million revitalization effort that was completed in October 2006. Now interactive applications like Pic2Screen from Aerva are helping sponsors connect their brands with a very engaging wireless application. 3CDC partnered with Head & Shoulders, a P&G Brand, for the launch of the software used in Fountain Square.

Bill Donabedian, Managing Director of Fountain Square Management LLC stated, "Aerva's digital signage software has served us well in the past year. Now with their MoApp™ technology we are able to create a Pic2Screen application that fits the marketing campaigns for our sponsors. When the street team starts taking pictures using their camera phones, kids and adults start lining up to get their picture taken and have it show up on a jumbo screen above the square.”

Sanjay Manandhar, President of Aerva, added, "Deploying our AerChannel digital signage solution at Fountain Square in 2006 and working with the 3CDC team to push the envelope was a highly satisfying project. In addition, Aerva has worked with 3CDC partners like Clear Channel to effectively use the LED board's scheduling and screen real-estate. Now that 3CDC has made this giant outdoor LED a canvas for interactive applications like Pic2Screen, Fountain Square patrons can very easily use their phones to control and interact with the LED board.”

Aerva, Inc, is quickly becoming one of the most recognized providers of interactive digital signage networks in the US and Europe. The key to Aerva's solution is integration of digital signage with mobile applications, thus allowing interactivity between the LED board and people's cell phones. Such a flexible platform goes beyond traditional signage, enabling a wide gamut of activities, promotions and games/competitions for pedestrians, TV viewers and others, all in a single product.
